Charlie the magical clown is one of the South's most popular childrens entertainers. Based in Portsmouth, Hampshire he has been entertaining children with his hilarious comedy magic shows, juggling, plate spinning, puppets and balloon modelling for over 20 years. Charlie's shows run for either 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour, an hour and a half, 2 hours or even longer if you wish. Charlie the Clown covers the whole of Hampshire, Sussex, Dorset, Wiltshire, Surrey and Berkshire.

Everything in the show is kept very easy to understand and is made very colourful to hold the children's attention throughout. There are no loud bangs or anything to upset small children, as Charlie (being a dad himself) understands that some youngsters will be seeing a clown for probably the first time and may be a bit shy of people in costume. That's why Charlie adopts a very calm soft approach when dealing with pre school and nursery aged children. Charlie currently has numerous repeat bookings in many playgroups and pre-schools because of his very gentle style.

Charlie is a member of the following respected organisations: Clown's International, Equity & the Variety artistes federation and is a also member of Portsmouth and District magic circle. He is also the proud owner of a British magic championships diploma, awarded to him for proficiency in the art of magic. Charlie also writes comedy scripts and is the magical adviser for a leading circus.
